| A | I started Celtic Carpet Cleaners in Chicago in 1973, and started again when we moved to the Southwest in 1998. While in Chicago, I took care of the carpeting and upholstery at Wrigley Field for the Chicago Cubs for eighteen years (1980-1998) on a handshake. They liked the work. |
| Q | I've heard, "they say", cleaning will cause my carpeting to get dirty again faster, or wear out sooner. Is there any truth to this? |
| A | I work with only fabric friendly, soap-free carpet cleaning products. Products which are designed to leave your carpeting not only as clean as they can be, but so soft and fluffy you will want to call your friends and family to tell them about the great carpet cleaner you just found! Grit, kids romping and pets can rob you of your investment in your carpeting. If left as is, or improperly cleaned, these conditions and others will shorten the number of years of beauty and service you'll get from your carpeting. You paid for all the life of your carpeting, why throw any of it away? |
| Q | How long will it take to clean my carpeting? |
| A | The reason I work only one job per day is I don't want to have to hurry to finish the first to get to the second, or third, or seventh, or eighth appointment. When I'm working at your home, your home is the only thing that matters. There is never a rush to be elsewhere. And it sure shows in the end! So, 4 or 5 rooms usually take a long morning to clean (9am-1pm). |
| Q | What about moving my furniture? |
| A | Celtic "Gold Service" consists of cleaning around the largest pieces, and moving and replacing smaller pieces to their proper places. There is never any turmoil, and I will always leave your home looking orderly and neat. Celtic "Platinum Service" consists of cleaning and rinsing virtually the entire room, moving larger pieces, such as sofas, loveseats and big chairs. Dressers, bookcases and China cabinets are cheerfully moved if the customer has emptied them before my arrival. The area under most beds can be cleaned without moving the bed, if there is no storage under the bed. Or, beds will be moved if there is no attached headboard, or under storage. Once again, the job will be done without commotion, and your home will be left orderly and neat. |
| Q | How long will it take my carpeting to dry? |
| A | When I clean the carpeting at our home, they feel well on their way to being dry after 3 or 4 hours. And, they are usually 100% dry by the next morning. Although, this can vary, depending on humidity and how many times I had to go over them to get them their absolute cleanest. Furniture and other articles are protected from the damp carpeting, and vice versa, with foil tabs and foam blocks. |
| Q | Must I be home to have my carpeting cleaned by Celtic Carpet Cleaners? |
| A | No, however, I would at least like you to be there for the first half hour or so, that I may consult with you on the particulars of your cleaning. If this is impossible, I can be let in by a family member or a friend. I can even work with a real estate agent if you are relocating, and still in another part of the country or world. Celtic Carpet Cleaners is insured and bonded. |
