The following stain removal advice is given in an effort to assist in emergency cases where time is of the essence and quick action is required to avoid any lasting damaging effect to the reader's carpeting. ALWAYS: Carefully read and follow all manufactures warranty and cleaning instructions and advice.
ALWAYS: Blot, not rub when removing carpet stains.
ALWAYS: Work from the outer edges to the center of the stain. So as to not make stain larger.
ALWAYS: Rinse effected area with cold water when finished with stain removal.
ALWAYS: Remove as much of cleaning material and water as you can.
NEVER: Apply bleach or any cleaning agent containing bleach to carpeting.
NEVER: Apply solvents to carpeting.
NEVER: Apply caustic cleaning materials to carpeting.
a. Remove as much as you can with a wet vacuum or by blotting with a clean cloth.
b. Dilute by blotting with cold water.
c. Spray with good enzyme product. (Available at pet and building supply stores.)
d. Leave covered with plastic food bag a few hours. (Enzyme products work best while wet.)
e. Remove covering, allow to dry.
f. Repeat when dry if necessity.
a. Blot and rinse and blot again.
b. Neutralize stain with a solution of white vinegar. (Spray on.)
c. Apply solution of clear dish soap and cold water. Then blot again.
d. Apply more cold water and wet vacuum or blot again.
e. Spray on enzyme product and allow to dry.
f. Repeat as needed.
a. Blot up all the wet paint you can. Scrape if dry.
b. Rinse stain with cold water.
c. Dab with isopropyl alcohol on clean cloth until stain disappears. Do not allow alcohol to soak down to carpet backing, or carpet bonding could be weakened or destroyed, seriously damaging your carpeting.
d. Blot, rinse and blot or wet vacuum affected area.
e. Blot with solution of dish soap and cold water.
f. Blot, and rinse with cold water and wet vacuum or blot again.
g. Repeat as needed.
a. Flush with cold water.
b. Blot with solution of dish washing liquid and cold water.
c. Dab with solution of 1/3 cup to 2/3 cup of vinegar to water.
d. Rinse and blot throughly.
e. Repeat as needed.
a. Rinse and flush with cold water.
b. Dab with mixture of 1 tablespoon of ammonia and 1/2 cup of cold water.
c. Rinse and blot.
d. Spray on enzyme solution and let dry.
e. Repeat as needed.
a. Place ice cubes on gum.
b. Allow to chill.
c. Gently scrape off.
d. Rinse and blot throughly.
e. Repeat as needed.
